Adult Social Care Survey – Residents invited to shape the future of social care in Somerset

Mudford Parish Council is responsible for managing and maintaining key community facilities including the Recreation Ground, which features a playground, skate park, and outdoor gym. The Council also oversees two defibrillators, two speed activated devices to help control traffic speed, and the local cemetery. The parish is served by seven councillors and one part-time clerk. Councillors play a vital role in representing the interests of residents, making decisions on local services, and ensuring the well-being of the community. The Council meets monthly, usually on the last Thursday of each month at 7 pm, except in December. The agreed meeting dates for 2025–2026 are: 26th June 2025; 31st July 2025; 28th August 2025; 25th September 2025; 30th October 2025; 27th November 2025; No meeting in December; 15th January 2026; 26th February 2026; 26th March 2026; 30th April 2026; 28th May 2026. Members of the Public and Press are invited to attend all Council Meetings.

There’s a winter virus which can be much more serious for those aged 75 and over. It’s a major cause of respiratory illness in the UK, often starting like a simple cold, but can quickly lead to pneumonia, breathing problems and even hospital stays in those who are most vulnerable.
Somerset Council has commissioned Every Life Matters to deliver fully funded (free for you) online suicide prevention training for anyone living or working within Somerset.
Please be aware that we have received notification of a date change to a temporary road closure at Hinton Road, Mudford for approximately 236 metres.
How can our communities adapt to climate change? Join us for a free evening event in Mudford, Ashington & Chilton Cantelo to help create a Climate Adaptation Plan for our area.
The council hopes the assembly will attract a wide range of participants who are currently underrepresented in existing local groups. The aim of the assembly is to encourage 50-60 parishioners to attend and share their views, concerns and participate in discussions on a wide range of local topics.
