Mudford Parish Council will be discussing all the items listed below:

The agenda specifies the business that it is proposed to transact (Local Government Act 1972 Sch.12 para 10 (2)(b)) and the Council cannot lawfully decide any matter which is not specified in the agenda (Longfield Parish Council v Wright (1918) 88 LJ Ch 119).

 AGENDA

25/01 To receive apologies for absence and approve the reasons (LGA 1972 s85(1)).

25/02 Declarations of interests. Council members to declare any interests, including any Disclosable Pecuniary Interests they may have in agenda items that accord with the requirements of the Parish Council’s Code of Conduct and to consider any prior requests from members for Dispensations that accord with Localism Act 2011 s33 (b-e).  (NB this does not preclude any later declarations). 

25/03 To approve and sign as a correct record the minutes of the previous meeting held on 27th March 2025.

25/04 Matters to report from a previous meeting.

  1. Additional bank account (Clerk).
  2. Pedestrian Crossing on Lyde Road (Clerk).
  3. Recreation Ground Fencing (Cllrs Bowring and Bartlett).

25/05 Planning applications received on and after 16th April 2025.
25/06 Finance – To NOTE:

  1. VAT Refund Claim of £8,349.53 was processed by HMRC and the full amount received on 24th March 2025.
  2. Precept of £46,467 for FY 2025-2026 was received on 15th April 2025.

25/07 Finance – To APPROVE the Cashbook/Bank Reconciliation and to REVIEW 4Q FY 2024-2025 budget to 31.03.2025.

25/08 Finance: To NOTE and to CONSIDER the Reserves at 31st March 2025.

25/09 Finance: To AGREE a virement of funds from Up Mudford Challenge Earmarked Reserves to Up Mudford Challenge budget line.

25/10 Finance: To NOTE an internal virement of funds from the Unity Trust Bank Current Account to Instant Access Saving Account.

  1. £9,000 transferred on 28th March 2025
  2. £11,000 transferred on 17th April 2025

25/11 Finance: To NOTE Receipts between 1st March and 16th April 2025.

25/12 Finance: To CONSIDER the increase of SALC/NALC membership fee.

25/13 Finance: To APPROVE the payment schedule for April 2025.

25/14 Finance: To APPROVE an internal virement of funds from the Unity Trust Bank Current Account to Instant Access Saving Account.

25/15 Finance: To AGREE a payment to the Village Hall for room hire and storage for the period April 2025 – March 2026.

25/16 To CONSIDER opening a Business Saving Account with Redwood Bank and to AGREE the details:

  1. The type of Business Saving Account
  2. 4 signatories
  3. Nominated Bank
  4. A sum to transfer to the new account upon opening

25/17 To AMEND Financial Regulations (6.1).

25/18 To REVIEW the Asset Register.

25/19 To RECEIVE and CONSIDER quotes for Mudford Parish Council’s insurance provision 2025-2026 and to AGREE an insurance provider.

25/20 To RECEIVE and CONSIDER quotes for village cleaning (bus shelter, phone box, village gates and noticeboard).

25/21 To RECEIVE and CONSIDER quotes for bin emptying in the Parish.

25/22 To RECEIVE and CONSIDER quotes for arboricultural survey (Recreation Grounds, Cemetery, Withy Bed).

25/23 To RECEIVE Parish Council’s logo competition entries and to AGREE the winning design.

25/24 To RECEIVE Councillor reports.

25/25 To RECEIVE the Parish Clerk’s report and any correspondence.
