Three Villages Flood Group
The 3 Villages Flood Group is a volunteer-led organisation formed by concerned residents of Mudford, Chilton Cantelo, and Ashington. The group includes members from diverse backgrounds who have come together with a shared goal: to minimise the impact of floods on the area.

Visit Three Villages Flood Group website for more information or contact: info@3vfg.org.uk.
The 3 Villages Flood Group is comprised of a dedicated committee of 10 members representing the diverse interests of the community. The group works closely with local residents, businesses, and other stakeholders to:
- Raise awareness: Educate the community about flood risks, early warning systems, and emergency procedures.
 - Improve preparedness: Encourage and support flood risk assessments, property-level flood protection measures, and emergency planning.
 - Enhance community resilience: Foster a strong sense of community spirit and support networks to assist during and after flood events.
 - Advocate for change: Work with local and national authorities to advocate for improved flood defences, drainage infrastructure, and emergency response capabilities.

“To ensure resilience to regular flooding in our villages by preparing our communities to respond effectively to flooding or other emergencies that might affect them”.
Three Village Flood Group is based at Mudford Village Hall but has members spread out across the three villages of Mudford/Sock, Ashington & Chilton Cantelo.
Mudford Village Hall has now been designated as a ‘safe space’. Parishioners affected by flooding or power cuts are welcome to seek warmth and comfort in the hall. Tea/coffee and blankets will be offered to those in need.
