Parking Concerns in the Parish

Mudford Parish Council has been made aware of a number of parking concerns across the parish. While the council does not have enforcement powers, residents can report vehicles that are causing an obstruction or presenting a safety hazard directly to Avon and Somerset Police.

Parking issues can be reported online at  https://www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/report/parking-issues/

According to Avon and Somerset Police, you should report a vehicle if it is:

  • Blocking a road or pavement and causing pedestrians, including those with prams, pushchairs or mobility aids, to enter the road
  • Parked in a dangerous position, such as on zig-zag lines or at pedestrian crossings
  • Parked over a dropped kerb
  • Preventing access for emergency vehicles
  • Preventing you from leaving your driveway

When making a report, please provide as much information as possible, including:

  • The exact location
  • Date and time
  • Vehicle registration number
  • Vehicle make, model and colour
  • Details of the obstruction or hazard
  • Photographs, if safe to take

Residents who would prefer the Parish Council to raise concerns on their behalf can email the clerk at clerk@mudford-pc.gov.uk. Please include the location and details of the issue so the matter can be reported to the appropriate authority.

By reporting incidents, residents can help build a clearer picture of parking issues in the parish and support efforts to improve safety and accessibility for everyone.
